Failed Miracle August 21, 2008 Robert Leigh (Baltimore, MD USA) Purchased to replace a similar rug-over-carpet holding pad which was a year old, this Miracle Hold held on to nothing. The label on this 4' x 6' pad said it was actually 44" x 70". The oriental rug I wanted to use it with is 41" x 73", which means the pad should have been close to the right size. Surprisingly, the new Miracle Hold pad was actually only 40" x 59". That's 4" narrower and 11" shorter than specified on the label. Even more surprisingly, the new pad failed to hold my antique rug to the broadloom low-profile level loop olefin fiber carpeting. The rug moved and wrinkled with every single step. I tried cutting the pad in half and moving both halves nearer the ends of the rug without success. I turned the two halves of the pad over, and there was still moving and wrinkling. This pad was purchased through Amazon.com, but was shipped to me from Target.com. The pad was an absolute, complete failure. I rated it one star only because this review required me to rate the product above zero stars.
"Miracle" Hold? July 20, 2008 W. Leandres (Columbus OH) We received the Miracle Hold Rug-to-Rug Grip - 44x68 pretty quickly. We followed the directions and it worked great for about three days. Now the area rug is once again moving but I can say not as bad as it previous did. I would not buy this type of area rug grip again
Miracle Rug to Rug Grip Pad July 10, 2008 Juanita A. Ohanian This product does not work. It does not stop the rug from moving around. I have it at my second home and will return it when I get back to the home in August. I did not have time to return it in June when I was there and received the order and tried it out.
Would not recommend June 24, 2008 Bobbe (El Cajon, CA) Disappointed in product. Does not hold rug to carpet as advertised. I think this would work for a small rug, but a large one (4 x 6) slides as it did with every other product I have tried. My rug is in a bedroom and is not in a high traffic area.
Miracle. . .hardly June 27, 2007 Victoria Jones 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought a couple of these to keep my area rugs in place. While they do a better job than the non-sticky kind, the rugs still creep around and the gripper becomes exposed. One corner of the area rug is still getting bunched up and I have to regularly smooth it out. My final say is that it does an okay job, not great. It's better than nothing.
