hang in there...it will be worth it September 4, 2008 avalon bound (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After quite a bit of research I settled on this Craftsman Corner Computer Armoire, because of size, configuration, price and design. It appeared to be good looking and have a relatively high end look, which was a priority since it would be on view in our family room. First, they should tell you that it comes in two boxes, and on different days. My husband and I unpacked the one box and laid all the pieces out in the room to put together, only to find it was missing components and screws and it was only after I made a call to the company that they told me to expect another box. There was nothing in the paperwork or on my notification email. Putting it together requires fortitude, a sense of humor and perhaps several buddies who can either help or cheer you on from the sidelines. They may also come in handy to stop you from hurling things at the wall when you've put together a side for the billionth time and it falls apart again. The little tool they give you broke off at the tip. Do not attempt to do this yourself. I'm sure it can be done, but it will not be pleasant. Finally, it's done and...ah, it's just what you wanted. The doors line up, the panels add aesthetic appeal, the wood is a rich, burnished dark brown and it looks like you paid more for it than you did. So, yes, hang in there...it will be worth it.
Serves its purpose! January 22, 2008 L. Condon (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This item was fairly easy to put together-just a little time-consuming (I put it together by myself-it would have been much faster with a second person!). There were no problems with the hardware, however it did come with a small chip on a corner that is barely noticeable. We purchased the item to avoid a paper clutter in our newly remodeled kitchen. All paperwork goes in here (bills, etc.), therefore leaving the counters and table open. Be careful if putting in a small corner-we misunderstood the website measurements and the desk is slightly too big. However, it does its job. My counters and table are clear, and we love it!!
Well Organized, poor cams January 9, 2007 R. Dale Rogers (Carrollton, TX USA) 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
The Armoire is great as far as how it is layed out. Able to get all the computer stuff, plus gaming system etc in very nice looking, closeable cabinet. Plus takes up very little floor space. Some assembly required. Plan on spending an hour or more putting it together. Only complaint is that the aluminum cams are too soft, so not able to really tighten up the connections. Either the cams broke or stripped out.
