Nearly perfect September 22, 2008 N. Ford (Hot Springs Village, AR USA) I got this for eating meals at the sofa and working on my laptop at the sofa and it works perfectly for both purposes. It can be adjusted up and down and tilted. The legs slide under the sofa so that when eating, you have the tray right up against you to protect against spills. The metal legs kinda dragged on tile when sliding it, so I cut some pieces of felt which has adhesive on one side and put on the bottoms of the legs, so now it moves quietly and easily. That is the ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 stars, and that's pretty much a nitpick. Another reason I got this is that it was recommended as something a video game steering wheel could be attached to, which I eventually intend to do.
Tablemate II September 11, 2008 Robert Mcelwee A well established product. All is packed nicely and it comes with high quality instructions and a Warranty Card. Also in the documentation is the Customer Service phone number and email address. This shows me that this is a customer service oriented company. A simple product that does what it is advertised to do. I love it for a laptop desk. Don't buy the knockoffs they are junk.
Great Table..... September 7, 2008 Fred Sajous (Miami, FL USA) I brought this table and it is very nice and met my expectations... I use it for my laptop and I just wish the surface was a little bit bigger so I could put my mouse and a notepad on it also... but overall I think it's worth 4 stars....
Table Mate II - not so great July 28, 2008 J. Grynberg (Chicago, IL) This product turned out to be a lot flimsier and less stable than I had expected. The dimensions are right, the base fits under the couch/bed, wherever you're sitting and for that purpose it works. However, I wouldn't advise putting anything requiring a level surface on top of it, such as a beverage or food item. At it's finished position, the top surface is not flat or level. It's more like an easel at a slight downward angle so things have a tendency to slip off. I tried adjusting both the legs and the top surface but it never achieved a steady surface level. It's fine for propping up books or magazines, but that's about it. Not worth the money as a couple of crates could do the same job.
Table Mate II June 12, 2008 Karin Bradshaw I was very satisfied with the Table Mate II. It is a lot sturdier then it looks in the picture. I use it every day.
