too bright October 10, 2008 Lily Mallekpour I own this radio and hated. It is so bright (at the lowest setting for brightness) that the entire room is lit. It also has an ugly and useless design that is not visible in the picture (the back).
Sony ICFC705 am/fm clock radio October 9, 2008 Robert D. Weber (Edgewood KY) If you are looking for a pocket radio attached to an alarm clock this is it.Sound is poor.Reception only fair.Clock is satisfactory.Much better choices are out in the market
It would be great but... October 7, 2008 Sleepless (Weston, FL) This gadget is full of nice features but it fails terribly at the core of what it is supposed to do. The display gives you the ability to set the back light to 3 levels of intensity but not to turn it off. Unfortunately at the lowest level of intensity the display back light is bright enough to keep you awake. The radio reception is average to bad (they use the power cord as antenna ) and the sound quality is also sub par, I was expecting something better from a device that allows you to connect an external audio source like an iPod.
Exactly what I was looking for... October 3, 2008 Allene Tardella This compact and good-looking little clock radio is something I've been trying to find for a long time. I needed a small unit to keep on a bathroom shelf, but most of the radios with digitally pre-selected stations are bulky and ugly (boom-box types.) Now I can listen to my favorite AM station for news in the morning and then spend time with my FM favorite, "Delilah", at night, when getting ready for bed. Without the pre-selected option, I'd have to fiddle with the dials morning and evening to get my chosen radio stations. The time numberals and date, etc. on the clock's face are large and have a bright glow that's adjustable for one's preference. I love the clock-radio, and the price was so reasonable.
works well September 30, 2008 smart shopper (CT) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
this clock radio is very compact, easy to operate, and gets good reception. One negative aspect is the bright display which is a little too bright if you want your room to be totally dark when you sleep.
