Don't waste your money August 5, 2008 Rochester I believe I ordered seven pieces from this set. At least three of them showed up with missing parts, and several were significantly scratched. On one of the pieces, one of the dowel holes was drilled too deep, so when I tapped the dowel in, carefully following the instructions, it broke right through the finished side of the panel. The veneer on this furniture is the thinnest I've ever seen. It is incredibly easy to scratch the furniture and ding the corners. A little black touch-up marker was sent with each piece along with a note that basically says it is completely normal for brand-new furniture to arrive all dinged up. Perhaps the versions with wood-like veneer are more durable, but I highly doubt it. I admittedly dropped one panel, but from a height of only maybe an inch or two, and it complete destroyed the corner of the panel. The corner pretty much just disintegrated. I am still waiting on missing and replacement parts after several attempts to get them. Prepac sent me some of the parts that I requested, but not all of them, and they didn't even bother to tell me which parts they did send. The company that I purchased the furniture from, Cymax, has even worse customer service. Non-existant is a good description. I'm honestly thinking about filing a complaint with the state attorney general about their lack of communication. This was the worst purchase that I've made in a long time. I really wish I had only ordered one piece and examined the (very poor) quality before deciding to order a whole set. On-line, this furniture looks a little more sturdy than most RTA furniture, but it is not. It is not worth half of what I paid for it. I hate to think what the cheaper PrePac furniture is like. My advice is to save up for some real furniture and stay as far away from Prepac and Cymax as possible.
Decent Nightstand for even Better Price April 21, 2008 Phatbetty (USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Furniture companies want so much for nightstands, its almost criminal. Besides affordable, this nightstand is pretty, modern looking and functional. Only issue was a few slight surface scratches, which were easily covered with the marker they provided. Can no longer see any scratch. Now I have a great looking bedroom without going broke. Definitely recommend.
Nightstand February 5, 2008 S. Kline (Bellaire,Michigan) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The nightstand was easy to set up and looked better then expected when finished. The product was shipped earlier then stated. We had some defective parts which were replaced right away after a call to the provider and our call was handled right away A+ to their customer service. I would buy again from this provider !!
