If buzzers or music are not enough to get you out of bed in the morning, this projection alarm clock might give you the jolt you need. When the alarm sounds, time and outdoor temperature project in large red digits onto a wall or ceiling up to six feet away so you can't miss it. The projection arm has four different orientation angles for you to adjust it to the perfect eye level plus an adjustable brightness control. Two alarm settings, allow you to set wake-ups for two different times. An adjustable snooze button also gives you a respite between alarms of anywhere from 1 and 59 minutes. This bedside clock also displays the precise time in hours and minutes in either 12- or 24-hour mode on its backlit LCD screen as well as the current day of the week and numeric month and day. A built-in antenna system receives signals from the WWVB radio transmitter in Fort Collins, Colorado, which is in turn regulated by the atomic clock. Once you plug the unit in and set the clock to the proper time zone, it will automatically set to the accurate time. The clock can be set to one of 13 time zones, including all US time zones and Greenwich Mean Time. The main screen also identifies your current time zone on a United States map icon and displays current indoor or outdoor temperatures and the weather forecast for the next 12 to 20 hours. The temperature function displays in either Celsius or Fahrenheit and is measured indoors every 10 seconds. Outdoor temperature is measured remotely every 5 minutes via a 433 MHz transmitter (included) that can be positioned up to a maximum of 80 feet from the clock's location. The current weather forecast and future tendencies, including storm warnings, are shown in an iconic display with predictions based on changes in air pressure detected by the unit. This clock comes with an AC power adapter, and will also run on two AA batteries as a backup power source should the electricity go out. I've had this alarm clock for almost a week. Nice small size. The projection works perfectly. During the day it is very hard if not impossible to see but, at night or with the curtains pulled it's perfect. The projection is bright enough but, not annoying or distracting. The image can be rotated in 90 degree increments, so no matter which side of the bed you are on or how you want the clock to face you can read the projection properly. You can set it to just display the time or alternate between the time and outside temp. There are 3 settings for the brightness of the projection: off, low and high.
I had no problems getting the outside unit or clock to work. I put batteries in the outside unit, batteries in the clock and plugged it in. A few minutes later it was working with the correct time.
The backlight does hum when it's on but, it only comes on when you hit a button. Setting, activating and deactivating the alarms is simple. The alarm is a series of beeps. Not too loud but, loud enough.
I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I wasn't sure I would like this product. It's compact, which is good. The projection screen is perfect. the alarm is not too harsh, which is what I was concerned about. I love it. My only issue is at night the main screen is not illuminated. But overall... I love it!

Love this alarm clock. You have dual settings for the alarm. It shows the time on the wall or ceiling. Where ever you want it. It can tell you the temp inside and outside and weather it;s sunny, cloudy, ect. Great clock!

This was a great product that did everything that was promised. Unfortunately it's not very durable. We only had it for a week before the snooze button was permanently pressed in. The only way to fix it would be to take it apart. That really wasn't an option as I'm sure the warranty would've been voided and I couldn't be certain that I could put it back together!
Other than it's durability my only other problem with the clock is the set up for Celsius/Fahrenheit and 24/12 hour time display.
For some reason you can only view the temperature in Celsius if you change the time display to the 24 hour clock (i.e. military time). Conversely, if you prefer to display the time using the 24 hour clock you are forced to view the temperature in Celsius.
This really isn't a huge deal and I easily could have lived with it, however I don't think it would have been too difficult to be able give the user some more flexibility in choosing how to display the information on the clock.
That being said, I would have kept the clock if the snooze button hadn't broken. I ended up returning the item and got a refund without any problems.
