| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description This poster says at the top "Instructions for Life" and a list of 19 such instructions. These include "When you lose, don't lose the lesson" and "Judge your succes by what you had to give up in order to get it." At the bottom it says "Dalai Lama". This poster measures approx. 24" X 36" In Tibetan Buddhism, the successive Dalai Lamas form a lineage of allegedly reborn magistrates which traces back to 1391. Tibetan Buddhists believe the Dalai Lama to be one of innumerable incarnations of Avalokitesvara, the bodhisattva of compassion. The Dalai Lama is considered the supreme head of Tibetan Buddhism. Tibetans call the Dalai Lama Gyalwa Rinpoche meaning "Precious Victor," or Yishin Norbu meaning "Wish-fulfilling Jewel".

| Customer Reviews: Why is there a Chinese character on it when China is occupying Tibet? January 15, 2010 Suzen (Hawaii) 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
Why is there a red Chinese character in the upper left of the poster when China is occupying Tibet and doing everything possible to destroy Tibetan culture and religion? It seems strange to have Chinese writing on a poster of the Dalai Lama's advice when he had to flee Tibet in the 1950s after the Chinese invaded.
Just a poster But November 3, 2009 S. Brooks (Brooklyn) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is just a poster However it is elemental in reminding you what is important in life. Product arrived as described, fast and in superior packaging.
words to live by. October 10, 2009 KayRivera (El Centro, CA United States) 0 out of 6 found this review helpful
I didn't buy this. I came upon it when I started a new job, at which I had a supervisor that practices Buddhism.
I don't think anyone should buy this unless they really appreciate it for decorative value.
I reworded the advice to suit my personal beliefs.
People should be so ready to use these sage words in their own lives.
Dalai Lama Poster August 29, 2009 M. Plazek (The World) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Nice poster with some obvious recommendations. Serves as a good reminder for when you are having a bad day or you are a little down. By no means will it "change your life" but it is a nice piece of work. Comes in a heavy-duty shipping tube so that there is no bending or damage from shipping.
